Efficacy of Continuous Flow Reactors for Biological Treatment of 1,4-Dioxane Contaminated Textile Wastewater Using a Mixed Culture

The goal of this study was to evaluate the biodegradation 1,4–dioxane using a mixed biological culture grown in textile wastewater sludge with as sole carbon source. conditions for long-term evaluation degradation were determined and optimized by batch scale analysis. Moreover, Monod’s model used determine biomass decay rate unknown parameters. soluble chemical oxygen demand (sCOD) concentration test, gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS) measure concentrations via Two types reactors (continuous stirred reactor (CSTR) plug flow (PFR)) treatment from operated more than 120 days under conditions.
